HOUSTON, Texas -- Rosemary Ida Sander, 93, of Houston passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 5, 2024, surrounded by family at Eden's Reflection in Richmond, Texas.
She was born Oct. 31, 1930, in Cape Girardeau to Joseph and Bertha Seyer Himmelsbach. She and VanArden Arnold Sander were married for 67 years, when he passed away in 2016.
Rosemary enjoyed tending to her flowers and working in the family vegetable gardens. She was a member of the United Commercial Travelers and served as a Missouri Grand Counselor. She worked as an X-ray technician for several years at Southeast Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy Sander of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Terence (Holly) Sander of Houston; grandson, Cameron (Ruth) Sander of Houston; and great-granddaughter, Skylen Sander of Houston.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Francis Himmelsbach; and four sisters, Josephine Messmer, Doretta Schoen, Virginia Compas and Lorene Kinman.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
