Rosemary Davis, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at her home, with family by her side.

She was born Oct. 28, 1936, in Egypt Mills to the late Arlis Hall and Mabel Lillie Propst McClard. She and Louis Davis were married Sept. 11, 1980, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in 2008.

Rosemary was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, where she was the organist most of her life and also taught Sunday school. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor.

Rosemary was an agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for over 30 years.

Survivors include daughters, Kristi Bowers of Cape Girardeau and Beth (Glenn) Roberts of Jackson; sons, Keith (Debbie) Bode of Naples, Florida, and Kerry (Katelyn) Bode of Frisco, Texas; son-in-law, Kendall Bowers of Cape Girardeau; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Davis; son, Kevin Bode; brothers, Le Roy, Leo and Don McClard; and grandson, Jacob Bowers.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford and Dr. Shawn Wasson officiating. Burial will be in New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church.
