Rosemary Bagbey Andrews, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Bertrand, Mo., to William Robert and Helen Mary Hardwick Bagbey. She was previously married to Robert Andrews. They were married Feb. 9, 1942, in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Methodist Women, Kimbeland Golf Association 35 years, and was a club champion at Kimbeland. She also enjoyed painting and gardening.

Survivors include a son, Ty Bagbey Andrews of De Soto, Mo.; two daughters, Nancy Kay Mattingly and husband Art of Cape Girardeau, Bobbie Bender of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Dr. William H. Bagbey of Mounds, Ill.; a special friend, Gene Schmid of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Charles S. Bagbey.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Long officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery at Charleston, Mo.

Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice or Centenary United Methodist Church.
