Rosemary E. Allgood, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the Lutheran Home, where she resided the past six months. She was born May 6, 1926, in Cape Girardeau to Henry and Gladys Herbst Hohler. She and John Dewey Allgood were married April 10, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. They had been married 56 years when he passed away Aug. 7, 2003...

Rosemary E. Allgood, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the Lutheran Home, where she resided the past six months.

She was born May 6, 1926, in Cape Girardeau to Henry and Gladys Herbst Hohler. She and John Dewey Allgood were married April 10, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. They had been married 56 years when he passed away Aug. 7, 2003.

Rosemary was a 1943 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau. She worked at the former Tenkhoff Rexall Drug Store and 25 years at the former Buckner-Ragsdale Clothing Store.

Loving survivors include three daughters, Chris (Randy) Welland of Cape Girardeau, Cathy (John) Blackwell of Cape Girardeau, Janice (Brad) Wagoner of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; a brother, Joe (Dorothy) Hohler of Kalamazoo, Mich.; four sisters, Ann Moyers of Springfield, Mo., Barbara Hamilton of St. Louis, Delores (Paul) Dowling of Cape Girardeau and Becky (Bob) Rushin of Springfield, Mo.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Lori Kirn, Greg (Beth) Seesing, Jeff Seesing, Sara (Richard) Sizemore, Amy (Jason) Emmenderfer, Tyler Blackwell, Brandon (Julie) Wagoner, Amber (Brian) Watson; 16 great-grandchildren, Taylor and Madison Kirn, Mason and Blake Seesing, Blake Trickey, Parker Critchlow, Jack Seesing, Jake, Cate, Lacey and Luke Sizemore, Cole, Paige and Cade Emmenderfer, Marlee Watson, Caleb Wagoner; and a great-great-granddaughter, Kayden Kirn.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and John Hohler; and a sister, Judy Miller.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
