TAMMS, Ill. -- Roselee "Rosie" Holshouser, 81 of Tamms passed away at 8:55 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at her home.
Roselee was born Jan. 30, 1938, in Ullin, Illinois, daughter of the late William and Elise Mayer Temke.
She was a member of Tamms United Methodist Church, where she served as a former church treasurer. She was a secretary for the Five County Regional School office and was a bookkeeper for the former First State Bank of Tamms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Neal Holshouser on May 11, 1986; husband, Donald L. "Dobe" Holshouser on Feb. 4, 1998; and brother, Orville Temke.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Monica Holshouser of Tamms; grandson, Tyler Holshouser; brothers, George Temke of Olmsted, Illinois, Leonard (Lucille) Temke of Dongola, Illinois, and Lester (Pat) Temke of Karnak, Illinois; sister, Patty Hudgens of Marion, Illinois; and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brent Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in McCrite Cemetery in rural Tamms.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 305 S. Illinois St., Belleville, IL 62220-2159, in memory of Roselee Holshouser.
