Emma Rose Wortmann, 86, of Mexico, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at Pin Oak Nursing Home in Mexico. She was born Sept. 24, 1910, at Middletown, daughter of Frederick William Plattenberg and Maude Hickerson Plattenberg. She married Herman William "Bruno" Wortmann at Troy. He died Aug. 24, 1956...

Emma Rose Wortmann, 86, of Mexico, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at Pin Oak Nursing Home in Mexico.

She was born Sept. 24, 1910, at Middletown, daughter of Frederick William Plattenberg and Maude Hickerson Plattenberg.

She married Herman William "Bruno" Wortmann at Troy. He died Aug. 24, 1956.

She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Mexico.

Survivors include sons, Norman LaMont Wortmann of Mexico and Gerald Bruce Wortmann of Jackson; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.

Service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville with the Rev. Craig Stevens of Mexico officiating. Burial will be in Wellsville City Cemetery.

Friends may call today from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
