CAIRO, Ill. -- Rose L. Stout, 87, of Cairo died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, in Paducah, Ky. She was born Aug. 30, 1917, in Cairo, daughter of Carl and Mary Karcher. She and Ray M. Stout were married in July 1937. He died Feb. 3, 1977. Stout retired from Elias Family Center. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church...

CAIRO, Ill. -- Rose L. Stout, 87, of Cairo died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, in Paducah, Ky.

She was born Aug. 30, 1917, in Cairo, daughter of Carl and Mary Karcher. She and Ray M. Stout were married in July 1937. He died Feb. 3, 1977.

Stout retired from Elias Family Center. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church

Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor Cocke of Palm Bay, Fla., Linda Logsdon of Calvert City, Ky.; two sons, Michael Stout of Springfield, Ill., James Stout of Sherman, Ill.; a brother, James Karcher of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The rosary will be recited at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge, Ill.
