Rose Marie Smith, 84, of Oak Ridge passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at her home.

She was born March 21, 1926, daughter of George and Myrtle Reddell Keller. She and Wilburn E. Smith were married Sept. 19, 1942, in Paragould, Ark. He passed away March 12, 2002.

Rose worked at the former Deal Nursing Home in Jackson and cared for elderly in their homes before working for the former LeeRowan Co. in Jackson, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church of Millersville for a number of years.

Loving survivors include four sons, W.L. "Leo" Smith of Memphis, Tenn., Larry Don (LaDonna Kay) Smith of Frohna, Mo., Gary D. Smith of Jackson and Bob J. Smith of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Brenda (Andie) McClain of Oran and Patsy Smith of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Louise Roberts and Emogene Eldridge of Leachville, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Zettie Smith, in 2004; four brothers; three sisters; and a stillborn great-great-grandson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from noon until the time of service Tuesday at Christ Gospel Church of Millersville, Mo.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. David Massie officiating. Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery in Millersville.

Memorials may be made to the Christ Gospel Church Missionary Fund.
