PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Rose L. Schnurbusch, 92, of Perryville died Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Independence Care Center. She was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Silver Lake, Missouri, daughter of Joseph B. and Mary N. Duvall Gibbar. She and Wallace W. Schnurbusch married Sept. 6, 1944, in Long Beach, California, just before he shipped out to the Philippines. He preceded her in death May 19, 2002...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Rose L. Schnurbusch, 92, of Perryville died Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Independence Care Center.

She was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Silver Lake, Missouri, daughter of Joseph B. and Mary N. Duvall Gibbar. She and Wallace W. Schnurbusch married Sept. 6, 1944, in Long Beach, California, just before he shipped out to the Philippines. He preceded her in death May 19, 2002.

Rose was a homemaker and an avid quilter. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include four daughters and two sons, Patricia (Glennon) Zoellner of Uniontown, Missouri, Carol (Glennon) Buchheit of Perryville, David (Debbie) Schnurbusch of St. Mary, Missouri, Barbara (Paul) Ponder and Joan (David) Hotop, both of Perryville, and Dale Schnurbusch of Old Appleton; a sister-in-law, Sharon Schnurbusch of Perryville; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Joseph, Ralph and Francis Gibbar; two sisters, Mary Esther Gibbar and Anastasia Jannin; and a granddaughter, Angela Hotop.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Revs. Rich Wehrmeyer and Jim French co-celebrating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred for family use, Masses and St. Vincent School.

Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville provided the arrangements.
