ROSE I. STROUD

PERRYVILLE -- Rose I. Stroud, 86, of Perryville, died Wednesday, May 5, 1993, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

She was born July 10. 1906, at Vergennes, Ill., daughter of Jacob G. and Magnolia Crow Quillman.

She was married to James H. Stroud, April 14, 1960. He died March 31, 1989.

Stroud was a member of the United Methodist Church in Perryville and the Eastern Star. She was a retired practical nurse.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Louise Bumpus of Bonnie, Ill.; a son Leon Welch of Caseyville, Ill.; a sister, Elvada Dial of Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville. There will be an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville, with the Rev. Ed Hankinson officiating.

There will be chapel service at Mt. Vernon Memorial Garden Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow.
