Rose Marie Hecht, 68, of Jackson, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 10, 1935, at Shawneetown, daughter of Otto and Rosa Roth. She and Melvin Hecht were married May 8, 1954. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1994...

Rose Marie Hecht, 68, of Jackson, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 10, 1935, at Shawneetown, daughter of Otto and Rosa Roth.

She and Melvin Hecht were married May 8, 1954. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1994.

Mrs. Hecht was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church at Shawneetown. She has been a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at New Wells for many years. She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm at Shawneetown.

Loving survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Sheila Hecht of Jackson; four grandchildren, Donald Clippard II, Crystal Guilliams and husband, Wade, Amy Clippard, and Kacie Marie Hecht; five great-grandchildren, Tray Blair, Payne Guilliams, Indiha Clippard, Piper Guilliams and Flint Guilliams; a sister, Irma Wallis and husband Ted of St. Louis; and a brother-in-law, Delmar Hutteger of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Viola White, Irene Hutteger and Hilda Kolaks.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Walter Patzwitz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Immanuel Lutheran Church at New Wells.
