CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Rose Mary Fussell, 75, of Orlando, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, following a brief illness.
She was born June 27, 1929, at Chaffee, daughter of Clinton Clifton and Marcella Catherine Sherer Littlepage. She married Gerald Fussell, who died in 1983.
Fussell went to Washington, D.C., in 1946 and worked at the Pentagon. She and her husband moved to Orlando in 1957.
She helped organize the parent association when St. John Vianney Catholic School opened in 1962, and had been a member of St. John Vianney Women's Auxiliary and served in various offices. She was elected to the board of Orlando Diocese Deanery Women's Auxiliary and also served as president of the auxiliary.
Fussell was a founding member, volunteer and lector of Holy Family Catholic Church. She served in the tourist ministry at the church and at Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine near Walt Disney World.
She was an assistant in tourism retailing 22 years and then was an elementary school secretary at Orlando Islamic Center.
Survivors include five sons, Steven, Ken, Kevin, Ted and Al Fussell; four sisters, two brothers, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Dobbs Funeral Home in Orlando from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with The Rev. William Ennis officiating.
