PERRYVILLE -- Rose A. Brown, 84, of Perryville died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, at Perry Oaks Healthcare Center. She was born Jan. 28,1916, at Kaskaskia Island, Ill., daughter of James J. and Mamie Grace Hicks Grabe. She and Russell Brown were married July 13, 1933. He died May 30, 1987...

PERRYVILLE -- Rose A. Brown, 84, of Perryville died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, at Perry Oaks Healthcare Center.

She was born Jan. 28,1916, at Kaskaskia Island, Ill., daughter of James J. and Mamie Grace Hicks Grabe. She and Russell Brown were married July 13, 1933. He died May 30, 1987.

Survivors include a son, Russell Brown of Perryville; five daughters, Margaret Adams, Millie Bollinger and Sherry Clifton, all of Perryville, Louise Brown of St. Mary, Maxine Messmer of St. Louis; a sister, Evelyn Feeney of St. Louis; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5:30-8 p.m. today, and Friday after 10 a.m.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
