ROSE BARNES

JACKSON -- Rose Marie Barnes, 77, of Jackson died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 20, 1920, in St. Louis, daughter of John M. and Katherine Urso Raster. She and Leo Henry Barnes were married Oct. 26, 1940, at Old Monroe. He died May 5, 1980.

Barnes lived in St. Louis most of her life, moving to Jackson in 1994. She was employed by Show and Tell Food Service Co. of St. Louis from 1982-1992. She was a longtime member of St. Gabriel the Arch Angel Catholic Church in St. Louis.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dennis Marchi of Jackson; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson was in charge of local arrangements.
