Rosamond Spurrier "Billie" Sander, 86, of Jackson died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at her home. She was born Jan. 5, 1916, at Jackson, daughter of Emanuel and Lillian Armstrong Milde. She first married Frank S. Miller Jan. 24, 1942. He died July 16, 1954. She and Charles W. Sander were married Aug. 5, 1966...

Rosamond Spurrier "Billie" Sander, 86, of Jackson died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at her home.

She was born Jan. 5, 1916, at Jackson, daughter of Emanuel and Lillian Armstrong Milde. She first married Frank S. Miller Jan. 24, 1942. He died July 16, 1954. She and Charles W. Sander were married Aug. 5, 1966.

Mrs. Sander was a 1933 graduate of Jackson High School, 1935 graduate of Lindenwood College in St. Louis, and 1937 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

She was a teacher in the Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Mo., and Jackson schools, retiring in 1973.

Mrs. Sander was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of PEO Chapter DJ in Jackson, PEO Chapter HB in Sikeston, and John Guild Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include her husband; three stepdaughters, Cathy Sievers, Sharon Dreyer and Carol Rees of Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Dement Miller Sander of Jackson; two grandsons, Frank Emanuel Miller and Trentis Eugene Miller; 11 stepgrandchildren, Sherri Prysock, Nancee Flowers, Catheryn Hartle, Dennis, David, Doug, Paul and Darrell Sievers, Chris and Cara Jauch, Tyson Rees; and 16 great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, David Brian and Bruce Emanuel; and two sisters, Gretchen and Eugenia.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Dr. Grant F.C. Gillard officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
