MILLERSVILLE, Mo. -- Rosalie Proffer, 76, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson, Mo.
Born Aug. 19, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, she was the daughter of Robert H. and Cora "Mae" Mayfield Bollinger.
On Jan. 17, 1947, she was married to Troy Proffer. He died Jan. 5, 2000.
A 1945 graduate of Jackson High School, Proffer was a homemaker. She attended First Baptist Church in Millersville and First General Baptist Church in Jackson. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Millersville.
Survivors include a son, Jim Proffer of Chester, Ill., three daughters, Wanda Garland of Sedgewickville, Carolyn Hebrock of Scott City and Lisa Bowen of Millersville; three brothers, Denzil Bollinger of Los Angeles, Jerry Bollinger of Onondaga, Mich., and Larry Bollinger of Jackson; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Proffer Cemetery at Crump with the Revs. Daniel Hale and Mike Huffman officiating.
