BATON ROUGE, La. -- Rosalie McAnally, 84, of Baton Rouge died Monday, April 9, 2012, at her home, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
She was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Mounds, Ill., to Henry and Ella Jenkins Wilkerson.
Survivors include three daughters, Rosemarie McAnally Patterson and husband Bob, Renia McAnally Coxe and husband Richard Wayne and Sarah Ashley McAnally; seven grandchildren, John Gordon Meek and wife Dawn, Richard Brian Meek, Meghan Marie Barnes Poole and husband Lamar, Carrie Lee Coxe Pennison and husband Garland, Catherine Hartley Coxe Stickney and husband David, Sarah Elizabeth Poche and Elizabeth Ashley McAnally; and three great-grandchildren, Parker Lamar Poole, Christian Joseph Poole and Hartley Rose Stickney.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, John Franklin McAnally, and her parents.
A graveside service was held Thursday at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge.
Pallbearers were John Gordon Meek, Richard Brian Meek, Richard Wayne Coxe, Bob Hurst Patterson, Oliver Lamar Poole and John Edward Davis.
Honorary pallbearers were David Matthew Stickney, Chad Joseph Broussard, Garland Paul Pennison and Ralph Meyers of St. Louis.
