Rosalie Fornkohl, 71, 787 County Road 638, died Monday, June 12, 1995, at Vencor Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born March 19, 1924, in Mounds, Ill., daughter of Francis Ray and Edith May Garner Kelley. She and Wilson C. Fornkohl were married in 1950 in Hernando, Miss. He died March 4, 1976.
Fornkohl had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1945. She served with the U.S. Navy Waves during World War II.
She was an inspector with Florsheim Shoe Co. 10 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Egypt Mills.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan Griffaw and Linda Hampton of Cape Girardeau, Joyce Proctor of Friedheim; a brother, Wayne Kelley; five sisters, Lois Rowley of state of Nevada, Ethyl Wright of Cape Girardeau, Vertis Hileman and Florence Casper of Cobden, Ill., Naomi Stewart of Kingman, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, and a stepgrandson.
She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Church in Egypt Mills, with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
