BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Rosa Belle Pruett, 84, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born Dec. 6, 1919, in the Vinson community of Stoddard County, Mo., daughter of W.D. and Stella Carson Walker. She and Ellis Pruett were married Sept. 18, 1937, at New Madrid, Mo. He died Oct. 3, 2001...

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Rosa Belle Pruett, 84, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.

She was born Dec. 6, 1919, in the Vinson community of Stoddard County, Mo., daughter of W.D. and Stella Carson Walker. She and Ellis Pruett were married Sept. 18, 1937, at New Madrid, Mo. He died Oct. 3, 2001.

Pruett lived in Stoddard County all her life. She was a receptionist several years at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. She was a member of Liberty General Baptist Church at Aid, Mo., Liberty Hill Missionary Society, Gideons Auxiliary, and Aid Extension Club.

Survivors include a son, Gale Pruett of Advance, Mo.; two daughters, Freda Mott of Guthrie, Okla., Vicki Griffin of Edmond, Okla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant child, and 12 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating. Burial will be in Harper Cemetery at Aid.
