COBDEN--Rosa Lea Fassler, 83, of Anna, died Wednesday, March 19, 1997, at the City Care Center in Cobden. She was born June 16, 1913, in Johnson County, Ill., the daughter of Thomas J. and Blanche Ragsdale Mighell. She married Joseph John Fassler on Sept. 25, 1937, in St. Louis, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1987...

COBDEN--Rosa Lea Fassler, 83, of Anna, died Wednesday, March 19, 1997, at the City Care Center in Cobden.

She was born June 16, 1913, in Johnson County, Ill., the daughter of Thomas J. and Blanche Ragsdale Mighell. She married Joseph John Fassler on Sept. 25, 1937, in St. Louis, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1987.

She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the Anna Eastern Star Chapter #522 and was an active quilter for more than 75 years.

Survivors include one son, Thomas John Mighell Fassler of Anna, two stepdaughters, Evamae Mary Bernd of Newport Richey, Fla., and Delores Catherine Fassler of Battleground, Wash.; one stepson, Earl Joseph Fassler of Sebring, Fla., one foster daughter, Brenda Evansco of Carbondale, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Hertenstein officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Johnson County.
