MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Rosa Julia Gaudin, 65, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 26, 1936, in Maricao, Puerto Rico, daughter of Carlos and Estrella Rodriguez Gaudin. Gaudin grew up in Puerto Rico. She moved to Chicago in 1964 and to Cape Girardeau in 1984. She had worked at Blair Industries since 1964 in Chicago and in Scott City, Mo. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Rosa Julia Gaudin, 65, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 26, 1936, in Maricao, Puerto Rico, daughter of Carlos and Estrella Rodriguez Gaudin.

Gaudin grew up in Puerto Rico. She moved to Chicago in 1964 and to Cape Girardeau in 1984. She had worked at Blair Industries since 1964 in Chicago and in Scott City, Mo. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include three brothers, Alejandro Gaudin of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Carlos Gaudin of Chicago, Juan Gaudin of Bayamon, Puerto Rico; five sisters, Alba Dye of Marble Hill, Nelda Cruz of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Annie Pietri of Humacao, Puerto Rico, Antonio Juott of Greenfield, Ill., Maria Flores of Ponce, Puerto Rico; and four half sisters.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two half sisters.

Service and burial will be in Ponce.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
