THEBES, Ill. -- Ronnie Edwards, 58, of Thebes died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Heartland Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 24, 1958, in Cape Girardeau to Matthew Gene and Reba Simmons Edwards.
Ronnie was a self-employed contractor and loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Reba (Tom) Enderle; his stepmother, Diana Edwards; three sisters, Gwendolyn Edwards, Loretta Dodson and Joan (Rodney) Simmons; two nieces, Holly Dodson and Lacey Rendleman; five nephews, Cody Dodson, Zachary and Tyler Rendleman, William Simmons and Ivan Edwards; other relatives; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Gene Edwards.
Family and friends may gather from 4 p.m. until the time of service Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
