Ronald Lee Woodruff, 71, of Jackson passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at his home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1948, in Morehouse, Missouri, son of Samuel and Mary Clark Woodruff. He and Juavata Bequette were married Sept. 29, 2002, in Paducah, Kentucky. She survives.
Ron graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in Cape Girardeau. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1965 to 1967. Ron was an over-the-road truck driver, owner-operator for many years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Altenthal-Joerns Post 158 in Jackson, VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau and the Advance Eagles Lodge.
Loving survivors include his wife of 17 years; a son, Kevin Woodruff of Jackson; a daughter, Angel Woodruff of Jackson; a stepson, Brad Clover of Jonesboro, Illinois; a stepdaughter, April Eskew of Jonesboro; four sisters, Doris Seabaugh of Campbell, Missouri, Donna Lewis of Lafayette, Tennessee, Luann Peppers of Puxico, Missouri, and Marlene Eubanks of Kennett, Missouri.
Also surviving are one granddaughter, six stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at noon Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jamie Hovis officiating. Interment will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.
