SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ronald Ervin Williams, 57, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 8, 1946, in Mississippi County, son of Cecil Ray and Alma Doris Williams. He and Wanda Sue Miller were married Dec. 18, 1973, in Matthews, Mo.
Formerly of East Prairie, Mo., he resided in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a truck driver with Hall Transport in Charleston, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronald Williams of Bardwell, Ky., Leslie Williams Sr. of East Prairie; two daughters, Marilyn Melton of Bardwell, LaShanna Scott of Tampa, Fla.; his mother, Alma Edwards of East Prairie; four brothers, Howard, Larry and Jerry Williams of East Prairie, Charles Williams of Charleston; a sister, Marilyn McCoy of East Prairie; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a son and two brothers.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Keith Cook and George White officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
