Ronald Edward Slinkard, 61, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at his home.
He was born Sept. 6, 1954, in Cape Girardeau to W.T. and Elizabeth (Schlosser) Slinkard.
Ronnie had been a customer-service representative with Southern Pacific Railroad.
He is survived by a sister, Martha Eifert of Scott City; two brothers, W.J. Slinkard of Kingsport, Tennessee, and W.T. Slinkard of Spring, Texas; three nephews, Ty and Scott Slinkard and Kevin Runnels; three nieces, Andrea Hernandez, Michelle Crosnoe and Laurie Ann Glastetter; four great-nephews, Theran and Drew Slinkard, Cody Hernandez and Connor Crosnoe; three great-nieces, Jamie Ann Glastetter, Becca Hernandez and Sami Slinkard; two uncles, Jake Slinkard of Kansas and Joe Schlosser of Cape Girardeau; other relatives; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bruce Slinkard.
At Ronnie's request, a private service will be held at a later date.
