Ronald O'Neal Silavent, 30, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Wednesday, Feb. 13, 1985, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to Randall Gerald and Myong Suk Choe Silavent. He and Hallie Maran McConnell were married Aug. 11, 2007, at Cape Girardeau.

Ronald grew up in Ozark, Alabama, where he graduated from Carroll High School. He served in the Army in Iraq and Afghanistan. After his time in the service, he worked as a diplomatic security specialist for the Department of State.

Ronald had been in Missouri for eight years. He liked the outdoors, fishing and he loved to go shooting.

Survivors include his wife, Hallie Silavent of Cape Girardeau; parents, Randall and Myong Silavent of Ozark; three children, Malaina, Collyn and Isaac Silavent of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Shawn Silavent of Arizona, John Silavent of Enterprise, Alabama, and David Silavent of Dothan, Alabama.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Ropp officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. Graveside military rites will be provided by the Missouri Honors Team.

Memorial contributions may be given to Eagle Ridge Christian School, 4210 Route K, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
