Ronald Rister

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Ronald Ralph Rister, son of Arlie Otis and Bonita Sue Mantel Rister, was born Oct. 31, 1959, in Chaffee and departed this life Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 59.

He married Charlotte Curd on Aug. 8, 1987, and she survives of the home.

Ronald was a retired towboat engineer for Waxler Towing, working for the company for many years.

Besides his wife, Charlotte Rister, survivors include his son, Robert Michael Rister of Sikeston, Missouri; stepson, Michael (Sarah) Cowell of Chaffee; two stepdaughters, Bonnie (Shannon) Dannenmueller of Scott City and Lori Cowell of Chaffee; brother, Rusty (Lana) Rister, and sister, Robin Rister, both of Chaffee; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gwen Streeter and Jim Smiley officiating. Interment will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
