MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Former Alexander County Sheriff's Deputy Ronald M. "Ronnie" Bonner, 60, of Mound City, died Monday, Dec. 11, 1995, at his home.

He was born Feb. 8, 1935, in Mounds, son of Miles and Edith Miller Bonner.

Bonner was a member of First Baptist Church in Mounds and the Illinois Sheriffs Association.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; a son, Scott DeVore of Mound City; two daughters, Dianna Lee of Urbandale, Ruth Ann Harris of Mound City; his parents of Mounds, and several grandchildren.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. C.H. Glenn and Pastor William O. Voss officiating. Burial will be in Cairo City Cemetery at Villa Ridge.
