Ronald Jones

BERTRAND, Mo. -- The funeral for Ronald Lynn Jones of Mount Juliet, Tenn., will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo. The Rev. Robert Herring will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

Jones, 40, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born Feb. 4, 1962, at Sikeston, Mo., son of Jim and Betty Sloan Jones. He and Debra Garrison were married June 9, 2000.

Jones was a 1980 graduate of Charleston High School. He moved to Tennessee in 1997, where he was a block plant manager with Lojac Material Co. in Lebanon.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Joey Jones with the U.S. Navy in Oceans, Va.; a daughter, Christy Jones of Sikeston; his father and stepmother, Jim and Nellie Jones of Bertrand; his mother and stepfather, Betty and Bill Holland of Arbyrd, Mo.; two brothers, Donald Jones of Kennett, Mo., Darrell Jones of Bertrand; a half sister, Angie Jaco of Sikeston; three half brothers, Keith Sloan of East Prairie, Tony Graham of Sikeston, Billy Schaffer of Wentzville, Mo.; two stepsons, Matt and Trent Smith of Mount Juliet; and a stepgrandchild.
