Ronald Wayne Hartlein, 77, of Jackson passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 26, 1943, in St. Louis. Ronald served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 until 1964. He and Darlene Ferrell Hartlein were united in marriage on July 24, 1982...

Ronald Wayne Hartlein, 77, of Jackson passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 26, 1943, in St. Louis.

Ronald served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 until 1964. He and Darlene Ferrell Hartlein were united in marriage on July 24, 1982.

Ronald was an avid gun collector, loved his four-legged children and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He loved his family and friends and never met a stranger.

Loving survivors include his wife, Darlene Hartlein of Jackson; and two brothers, Charles (Jane) Yarbrough of Rapid City, South Dakota, and David (Debbie) Yarbrough of Matthews, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy and Mason Yarbrough; and two sisters, Betty Rodgers and Florence Vitto.

Graveside service with full military honors will take place at 1 p.m., Jan. 21 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
