Ronald Frederick Hale, 77, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2020.
He was born Nov. 3, 1942, in Belleville, Illinois, to Lemro and Theresa Axtetter Hale.
Ron served in the Army National Guard. He was proud to serve his country.
Ron was owner and electrician of Ron Hale Electric in Cape Girardeau. He had a passion for photography, especially trains. He was a ham-radio operator and bluegrass musician and enjoyed playing the banjo and mandolin.
Loving survivors include children, Theresa (Tom) Hoffmeister of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Jessie Hale of Fort Eustis, Virginia, and Courtney Hale of Cape Girardeau; brother, Larry (Shelly) Hale of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Jeanne (Pete) Poe of Cape Girardeau and Mary (David) Hardy of Goldvein, Virginia; grandchildren, Zachary Thiele and Alex and Stephen Hoffmeister; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph Hale.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
