Ronald Gene Lynn of Saginaw, Mich. and formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away on Friday, Feb. 5, 1999 at Covenant-Cooper Hospital in Saginaw, Mich. He was 61.
He was born Aug. 23, 1937, at Fornfelt, Mo., the son of Wesley and Mabel (Hager) Lynn. He was married to Karen Leslie Klemm for 22 years.
Mr. Lynn was a manager for Wieland Truck Sales in Saginaw. Previously he was a detective for the Cape Girardeau Police Force for seven years and also worked for GMC Pontiac. He was a member of the NRA and a licensed NRA instructor and a member of the Masons. He graduated from University High and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
He served as a U.S. Marine gunnery sergeant in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Earl and Charles Lynn and a sister, Betty Englemann. He was first married to Fern Brewington who passed away in May, 1975. They had one daughter, Suzette M. Hutfilz.
Survivors include: his wife, Karen Leslie Klemm Lynn of Saginaw; one son, Dallas Wesley Lynn of the home; daughters, Tara Leslie Lynn of the home and Suzette M. Hutfilz of Freeland, Mich.; two granddaughters, Victoria Hutfilz and Corinne Hutfilz, both of Freeland, Mich.; one brother, Jay Lynn of St. Louis; and two sisters, Ruby Chitty of Scott City, Mo. and Elsie Caldwell of Dutchtown, Mo.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999 at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
The Rev. Michael Davis will officiate at the services and burial will be in the Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
