CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Funeral for Ronald Lee Crenshaw of Charleston will be held at 11 a.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Ed Hankinson will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Crenshaw, 66, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at his home.
He was born March 23, 1934, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., son of Henry Joseph and Virginia Hawks Crenshaw. He and Susan Leeper were married in 1977.
Crenshaw lived most of his life in Mississippi County. He was a graduate of Charleston High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
He retired as owner/operator of H&R Foods. He was executive director of Mississippi County Port Authority a number of years, and was instrumental in restoration of the Dorena-Hickman Ferry Service. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include his wife of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a son, Gregory Crenshaw of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Rhonda Young and Gina Suchman of Cape Girardeau; and three grandchildren.
