Ronald Dean Adams, 76, of Scott City died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in Scott City.

He was born Feb. 26, 1937 in Fornfelt to Ulen Ester and Mamie J. Ebbs Adams.

He married Anna Marie Glueck on Feb. 12, 1966, in Cape Girardeau.

He was an oiler mechanic for Lonestar and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Adams of Scott City; a sister, Beverly Webb of Waterloo, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
