BENTON, Mo. -- Ron Baldwin, 67, of Benton died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 23, 1946, in Charter Oak, Mo., son of the late Arzie and Bertie Barnett Baldwin. He was a self-employed foreign-car mechanic. He attended Wesley United Methodist Church and was a member of the Sikeston, Mo. Elks Lodge, the American Legion and the Sikeston Eagles.
On Sept. 22, 1967, he married Irene Simpson; she survives of the home in Benton.
Other survivors include a son, Ronald Scott Baldwin of Benton; a daughter, Ronda Leann Wilson of Sikeston; two brothers, Bill Baldwin of Charter Oak and Rick Baldwin of Sturdivant, Mo.; one sister, Cassaundra "Saunie" Breese of Jackson; and four grandchildren, Brandon Paul Wilson, Matthew Scott Wilson, Jordan Taylor Baldwin and Shea Lindsey Robey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Spell, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Essex Cemetery at Essex, Mo.
