Roger Lee Adams, 63, of Jackson passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 16, 1954, in Cape Girardeau to Robert J. and Linda C. Williams Adams. He and Connie Biri were married Dec. 16, 1976.
Roger was a 1973 graduate of Jackson High School. He worked as a second mate on a tow boat for Union Mechling from 1973 to 1981, and had worked as a carpenter and self-employed contractor since 1981.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville, the Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Jackson, the Craftsman Union in Cape Girardeau and was a former member of the Jackson Jaycees.
Loving survivors include his wife of 41 years, Connie Adams of Jackson; two sons, Sean (Heidi) Adams of Jackson and Darrin (Bobbi Sue) Helderman of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Taylor and Alexis Helderman and Collin Bradley Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Ethan Lee Adams.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to service time Wednesday in Chapel A of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Longman officiating. Burial will follow at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Gordonville.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
