CAIRO, Ill. -- Funeral for Rodney Romel "Ra-Ra" McAllister Jr. of St. Louis will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo. The Rev. Christopher Barnes and Elder Curtis Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
Friends may call at the church Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Pilgrim Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, in St. Louis. Jerry Keeney will officiate.
Algee Memorial Chapel in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
McAllister, 10, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, in St. Louis.
He was born Jan. 21, 1991, in Carbondale, Ill., son of Rodney McAllister Sr. and Gladys Lohman. He attended school at Malden, Mo., until transferring to Clark Accelerated Academy in St. Louis in December.
Survivors include his mother of St. Louis; his father of Cairo; a brother, Terry Lohman of St. Louis; and maternal grandfather, Vernon Jackson Sr. of Hayti, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents.
