MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Roberta Maxine Bennett, 77, of Mound City died Monday, July 31, 2006, at her home.
She was born Dec. 15, 1928, in Benton, Ill., daughter of Jimmy Bell and Helen Rossio. She was raised by her grandparents, Jim and Lizza Doll Rossio. She and Wathie L. Bennett were married Aug. 24, 1948, in West City, Ill.
Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Rhonda Sealey of Broken Arrow, Okla., Cheryl Parrish of Boaz, Ky., Brenda Bankson of Villa Ridge, Ill., Dana Bennett of Mound City, Lisa Simpson of Anna, Ill., Sabrina Dickerson of Buncombe, Ill.; four sons, Gary Bennett of Tulsa, Okla., Terry, Warren and Keith Bennett, all of Mound City; three half brothers; a half sister; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and half sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Kelley officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Mound City.
