Robert Wade

Robert G. Wade, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Dec. 23, 1934, in Jackson, son of Albert J. and Zella Shepherd Wade. He married Charlotte Swan, who died Dec. 24, 2006.

Wade was a graduate of John S. Cobb High School. He retired from Drury Construction Co. after 20 years service, and was a member of St. John's AME Church in Jackson until it closed.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Vines of Danbury, Conn.; four sons, Robert Wade Jr. of Boston, Mass., Anthony Wade, Gary Primm and Bradley Mason, all of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Billy Wade of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Marjorie Smith of Cape Girardeau; and many grandchildren.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at Rhema Word International Breakthrough Ministries.

The funeral will be at noon at the church, with Dr. Anthony Green officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Williams Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
