DONGOLA, Ill. -- Robert "Bob" Vick, 72, of Dongola died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at his home. He was born July 3, 1928, at Tamms, Ill., son of John and Jeanette Huffman Vick. He and Helen Manning were married May 1, 1953. She died Aug. 4, 1985. He later married Betty Jo Noble Russell June 13, 1988...

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Robert "Bob" Vick, 72, of Dongola died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at his home.

He was born July 3, 1928, at Tamms, Ill., son of John and Jeanette Huffman Vick. He and Helen Manning were married May 1, 1953. She died Aug. 4, 1985. He later married Betty Jo Noble Russell June 13, 1988.

Vick worked more than 30 years in the parts department at Vogler Ford in Carbondale, Ill. He was a member of Wetaug Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; two stepdaughters, Marsha Cantrell of Patton, Mo., Mary Lessar of Tamms; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Ronnie Gulley officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
