MARBLE HILL -- Robert V. Hahs, 74, of Marble Hill died Friday, June 16, 1995, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 20, 1920, at Lutesville, the son of Oscar B. and Odetta M. Ricketts Hahs. He and Helen Binford were married in June 1948...

MARBLE HILL -- Robert V. Hahs, 74, of Marble Hill died Friday, June 16, 1995, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 20, 1920, at Lutesville, the son of Oscar B. and Odetta M. Ricketts Hahs. He and Helen Binford were married in June 1948.

Hahs had lived in Marble Hill since 1985. He was a retired machinist from McDonnell Douglas and later Lincoln McNeil Engineering Co., both companies in St. Louis. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Marble Hill Eagles and the St. Louis Local Machinist Union.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert V. Hahs Jr. of St. Louis; two daughters, Susan Antonitis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Connie Young of O'Fallon; a sister, Rebecca Bollinger of Marble Hill; and two grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside service was held Saturday.
