ROBERT TROESTER

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Robert L. Troester, 80, of Edwardsville and formerly of Pulaski died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at Maryville Manor at Maryville.

He was born May 27, 1919, at Pulaski, son of Lindsey and Nannie Thurston Troester. He was married to Phyllis Martin. She died June 17, 1988.

He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ at Edwardsville and was a retired civil engineer with the M.R. Corlew's Associates at Edwardsville.

He is survived by two daughters, Gretchen Ackerman of Edwardsville and Amy Lebeau of Grayslake; two sisters, Mary Hooppaw of Kankakee and Dorthy Palmer of Pulaski; a brother, Russell Troester of Florissant, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Visitation will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jones Funeral at Villa Ridge.

Graveside services will be at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at the Rose Hill Cemetery at Pulaski.
