COBDEN, Ill. -- Robert L. Stroehlein, 71, of Cobden died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
He was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Cobden, son of Louie and Ruth Lence Stroehlein.
Stroehlein retired as a food service supervisor with Illinois Department of Corrections. He was a member of Anna Church of the Nazarene, VFW Post 3455 in Anna, and Masonic Lodge 466 AF&AM in Cobden.
He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include a son, Robert Stroehlein of Anna; his mother of Jonesboro, Ill.; three brothers, Ralph Stroehlein of Cobden, Ray Stroehlein of Tucson, Ariz., John Stroehlein of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a sister, Alberta Harris of Alto Pass, Ill.; and two granddaughters.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Richard Keeley and Clyde Wolfley officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery, with full military honors by VFW Post 3455.
