ANNA, Ill. --Robert W. Stoelzle, 66, of Anna died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at his home. He was born May 20, 1941, in Carbondale, Ill., son of Dr. John A. and Helen Arnold Stoelzle. ANNA, Ill. --Robert W. Stoelzle, 66, of Anna died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at his home. He was born May 20, 1941, in Carbondale, Ill., son of Dr. John A. and Helen Arnold Stoelzle. He married LaDonna S. Feagins June 3, 1967, in Murphysboro, Ill.

Stoelzle was a member of Mount Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna and was a U.S. Army veteran, member of the Anna Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 and the Elks Lodge 1641 BPOE, where he was former exalted ruler, secretary and chaplain. He ran district and local hoop shoots for 20 years.

He was a 1959 graduate of Carbondale Community High School and earned a bachelor's and master's degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He was a member of the SIU Alumni Association. He was a mental health administrator at Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna and retired in 1999 after 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Stoelzle of Anna; a son, Rob Stoelzle of O'Fallon, Ill.; a daughter, Jennifer Goss of O'Fallon, Ill.; a granddaughter, Paige Stoelzle; and two brothers, John Stoelzle of Arizona and Hal Stoelzle of Denver.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Christine Erdmann officiating. Interment will be in the Anna city cemetery.
