Robert Sommers, 61, of Culver City, Calif., died Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996, in Los Angeles, Calif.
He was born in Cape Girardeau, son of Ernest and Mary Summers Ford. He was later adopted by Robert and Esther Sommers.
Sommers was a private investigator. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; four brothers, Glen Ford of Pocahontas, George Ford of Longtown, Bill Ford of Cape Girardeau, Jim Ford of Branson; and a sister, Maxine Mansker of Santa Rosa, Calif.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Monday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donnie Ford officiating. Burial will be in Stroderville Cemetery at Stroderville, with VFW graveside rites.
