Robert E. Seabaugh, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born Sept. 1, 1929, in Cape Girardeau to Wally T. and Melinda Rada Niswonger Seabaugh. He and Nora Lee Spalding were married Dec. 25, 1947, at Cape Girardeau.

Bob served in the Marines from 1951 to 1953.

He worked at the Marquette Cement plant, Central Packing and retired from Southeast Hospital.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Veterans of Foreign War Post 3838.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Edward G. (Patricia) Spalding of Cape Girardeau; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Gene) Maevers and Kay (Butch) Maevers, both of Cape Girardeau; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three sisters, Violet Price, Bessie Ford and Anna Jane Nance; and two brothers, Tommy and Virgil Seabaugh.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Loren Boettcher officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau. Military honors will be provided by the Missouri Honors Team.

Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
