Robert L. "Bob" Sandvoss, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 17, 2004, at his home. He was born May 9, 1929, in Jackson, son of Henry R. and Rosine Schmidt Sandvoss. Sandvoss had worked at U.S. Corps of Engineers, Anheuser Busch in St. Louis and B&B Marine in Jackson. He was a member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau...

Robert L. "Bob" Sandvoss, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 17, 2004, at his home.

He was born May 9, 1929, in Jackson, son of Henry R. and Rosine Schmidt Sandvoss.

Sandvoss had worked at U.S. Corps of Engineers, Anheuser Busch in St. Louis and B&B Marine in Jackson. He was a member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.

He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include three sisters, Mildred Hartle and Minnie Compas of Cape Girardeau and Alleen Boswell of Cahokia, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson after 9 a.m. today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Raymond McAfee officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson with military honors.
