Robert "Bob" W. Sandusky, 79, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
He was born Feb. 1, 1941, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the Rev. Jacob "J.C." and Marie Riggs Sandusky. He and Juanita F. "Faye" Ross were married Sept. 3, 1966, in Saugatuck, Michigan. They had been married 50 years when Faye passed away Nov. 3, 2016.
Bob and Faye lived many years in Sikeston, Missouri, moving to Jackson in the mid-1980s. Bob worked many years at Rubbermaid in Jackson, retiring in 2006. Upon retirement, he was able to fully enjoy his favorite things -- his horses and fishing.
Bob and Faye were members of the Cape County Cowboy Church.
Loving survivors include a daughter-in-law, Alicia (the late Tony) Sandusky of Jackson; three grandchildren, Bobby Sandusky of Jackson; Cody (Emily) Sandusky of Kelso, Missouri; and Chelsea (Kyle) Greenwalt of Kansas City, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Liz (the late Kelly) Abernathy of Jackson, Marilyn Brewer of Indiana and Sandra (Rick) Freeman of Taylorville, Illinois.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife; his son, Tony Sandusky; and four sisters, Imogene Gallegly, Margaret Giles, Agnes Castleberry and Adell Bond.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
