Robert W. Roth, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001 at his home. Born Jan. 21, 1930, in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., he was the son of F.X. and Mary Edwards Roth. On April 21, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, he was married to Betty May Birk. Roth was a member of St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau. He was a former member of the Exchange Club and the Jaycees. Robert W. Roth, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001 at his home.

Born Jan. 21, 1930, in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., he was the son of F.X. and Mary Edwards Roth.

On April 21, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, he was married to Betty May Birk.

Roth was a member of St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau. He was a former member of the Exchange Club and the Jaycees. He was a fourth-degree member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 1111.

He was an executive with A.E. Birk Plumbing & Heating for 30 years. He was also an avid golfer and a member of Kimberland Golf Club.

Survivors include his wife, Betty May Roth; son and daughter-in-law Timothy B. and Betty Seesing Roth, son and daughter-in-law Todd W. and Karen Glick Roth, all of Cape Girardeau; daughter and son-in-law Terri and Mark Roberts of Chesterfield, Mo.; brother Stan Roth of Manchester, Mo., six grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Gregory and Caroline Roberts of Chesterfield and Megan and Taylor Roth of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Victoria Lynn Roth.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home with parish prayers at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus Rosary following parish prayers.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Cathedral with Monsignor Richard Rolwing as celebrant. Burial will take place in Cape County Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include Richard Esicar, Bill Winkler, Bill Lewis, Jim Roth, Joe Roth and Mike Roth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Notre Dame High School Building Fund or the Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund.
