ADVANCE, Mo. -- Robert A. Reynolds, 77, of Advance passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
He was born Jan. 9, 1933, at Bell City, Mo., son of Jess Owen and Ethel May Stroup Reynolds. He married Evelyn Stohlmann.
Robert retired as a staff sergeant after 20 years in the U.S. Army. He served in the Korean conflict and Vietnam War.
He was a member of Chaffee Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Reynolds of Advance; a daughter, Marcy Wright of Advance; two brothers, J.B. Reynolds of St. Louis and Doyle Reynolds of New Baden, Ill.; a sister, Winnie Jolly of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Chris Wright, Paxton Wright and Mason Reynolds.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bryce Reynolds; five brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City, with full military rites.
